Details

Across Australia a number of important conservation projects are underway. These range from the conservation of significant buildings to the protection of fragile ecosystems; from area surveys to historic structures reports; and from wilderness inventories to archaeological site surveys. A wide range of Federal, State and Local Government instrumentalities, community groups and individuals are involved in these projects. Much of this work is funded under the National Estate Grants Program, the Federal Government's major financial contribution to protecting Australia's National Estate.

This bibliography lists research reports prepared as a result of the National Estate Grants Program and held in the Australian Heritage Commission's library. Many reports are yet to be sent to the Commission. The reports vary greatly in their style. Some simply detail conservation work and associated costs. The majority are forerunners of their type, setting standards and methodologies for future heritage research.

Soft cover, 182pgs, subject, author and locality indexes. Near new. .
